As it happens, I believe that it's a fun game. But complaining that it's pointless is like complaining that the night sky is dark. I mean, that's true, and all, but—it's supposed to be.

We know (from the other thread that got locked) that many of the PvP players are still not happy with the changes. Sorry, guys, I know you are sick of hearing this ... however this is a first step. Bigger changes are coming, but bigger changes take more time and more people.
This patch is not a final solution, and I'd like you all to keep that in mind. We'd love to hear your constructive feedback on the changes (we've seen the actual complaints so many times, I think we know what they are ). I'm happy to read and pass on negative feedback, so long as it's constructive.
From me personally, I'd like to note that on a certain level I'm glad that the 'whiners' are still hanging around. I know that if the underlying PvP that you want to play was no good you would have left without saying a word; your complaints are based in the fact that you know there's a great game that you want to play but feel you can't get to without having to 'work' for it. We're working towards putting in place features that will address that and give you access to that great game. And, hopefully, we'll make the game even better along the way.

Once again you've blown my expectations out of the water. Thank you.

wow, really nice update that A-net have done. I like all the new changes that is going to help out with the skills grind... but it seems that most of the mission or quests update is for late in the game, i mean, im still in old ascalon and still got couple quests to do until i can move on..
Hehe.. can't wait to get some ale and get drunk!! but first i need to get golds... LOTS of gold if it does cost 1 pla for ale!

Yeah, if your going to do it the german way, and not all german speaking people will have german keyboards... stick with the above. Mr. Mueller is a perfect example of how US spells the name, when its supposed to be Müller.

I could work in real life for 1 hour and have enough money to buy 5 pints of beer easy, maybe more if it's charr piss.
1 pint of beer costs nearly or more than 5 times as much as most armor pieces...
perhaps if we gave them some plant fibers (hops) it would lower the price

The answer is simple. The recent upsurge in alcohol related illness and accidents with the easy access to ale has clearly put a strain on the burgeoning health care budget. Clearly a large tax has been added to alcoholic beverages to offset the rising healthcare costs that could bankrupt the system. We've already seen examples of this, as one person ran around town yelling "I'm the king of the world!" after imbibing an amount of alcohol to drown a small party of adventurers.

Nice updates by AN.
My ONLY gripe is that I've now got to:
a) get some more Druid Leggings to benefit from the extra energy
b) infuse em
c) risk salvaging my Superior Expertise Rune from my current leggings! Sod's Law means I will end up getting 3 planks of wood

I did notice it said some players
There were many people claiming it didn't happen at all (for anyone), or that it only happened to farmers. I'm fully aware that prior to this patch, some people were experiencing the bug and some were not.

Yeah, I participated in those threads. Many were suggesting that it was either imagined, or that we just didn't play properly, or that we were farmer crybabies, or that it simply didn't exist at all. There were at least three times that I had to write out a clear and detailed explanation of what was going on in response to those posts, and still people acted like it wasn't a real problem. How easily we forget...

Well, this is what I get for not staying up late and ascending before the ####ing Wednesday update. The Doppelganger apparently isn' really your mirror self anymore, since it gets to use a Chaos Axe and Storm Bow that I don't have in inventory or in storage. How can this possibly be considered fair?

the doppleganger always had the bow and the axe only thing the same is the copy of your set skill slots, and it uses the same skills you bring in the fight.
